How to Buy an Index Token (e.g. KJI)

Index tokens can be acquired directly through the KujiraIndex app, by minting them. Make sure your wallet is connected and funded with KUJI or USK.

Minting KJI works in 3 simple steps:

1. Navigate to "Mint" and adjust dropdown and select the currency you want to mint the asset with ($KUJI or $USK)

1. Enter amount & press BUY.

1. Confirm the transaction in your wallet popup.

The popup will look different depending on your wallet. If you connected the KujiraIndex app to a mobile wallet, the transaction approval will pop-up be in the wallet app.

If successful, you should receive a notification and be able to see your total KJI balance at the top of the KujiraIndex interface.

Can I buy KJI on a DEX?

Yes. You can buy & sell KJI on Kujira's orderbook exchange. However, there is no guarantee that the swap rate you get will be the same as the protocol rate that is determined by the value of the underlying assets in the smart contract vault. Buying KJI on exchanges should be done with caution.
